The story of this duaاِس دعا کی کہانی

Prophet Ayyub (peace be upon him) was a very patient and thankful man. ALLAH tested him with a long illness and by taking away many things he loved. Through it all, Ayyub never got angry and never complained. He simply, gently told ALLAH about his pain and trusted in HIS mercy. And ALLAH, the Most Merciful, made him healthy and happy again.

حضرت ایوب علیہ السلام بہت صبر کرنے والے اور شکر گزار انسان تھے۔ اللہ نے اُنہیں ایک لمبی بیماری سے اور اُن کی بہت سی پیاری چیزیں لے کر آزمایا۔ اِس سارے عرصے میں ایوب نہ کبھی غصہ ہوئے، نہ شکایت کی۔ اُنہوں نے بس نرمی سے اللہ کو اپنی تکلیف بتائی اور اُس کی رحمت پر بھروسہ رکھا۔ اور اللہ، جو سب سے زیادہ رحم کرنے والا ہے، نے اُنہیں پھر سے تندرست اور خوش کر دیا۔

Say this dua when you are sick or in pain — tell ALLAH gently about it, and trust that HE is the Most Merciful of all.

یہ دعا اُس وقت پڑھو جب تم بیمار ہو یا تکلیف میں ہو — اللہ کو نرمی سے اپنی تکلیف بتاؤ، اور یقین رکھو کہ وہی سب سے زیادہ رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

الأنبیاءSurah Al-Anbiya · Ayat 83

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

(شروع کرتا ہوں) اللہ کے نام سے جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم والا ہے۔

Let's begin with ALLAH's name. HE loves us more than anyone, and HE is the kindest of all. No one can ever be as loving as ALLAH.

آؤ اللہ کا نام لے کر شروع کریں۔ اللہ ہم سے سب سے زیادہ پیار کرتا ہے اور سب سے زیادہ مہربان ہے۔ اُس جتنا پیار کرنے والا کوئی ہو ہی نہیں سکتا۔

وَأَيُّوبَ إِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُ أَنِّي مَسَّنِيَ الضُّرُّ وَأَنتَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ

Anni massaniyad-durru wa anta arhamur-rahimin

And [remember] Job, when he called out to his Lord, ‘Indeed distress has befallen me, and You are the most merciful of the merciful.’

اور ایوب (کا ذکر کیجئے) جب انہوں نے اپنے پروردگار کو پکارا مجھے (بیماری کی) تکلیف پہنچ رہی ہے اور تو ارحم الراحمین ہے (میرے حال پر رحم فرما)۔
